Neil Young has begun a crusade against music streaming services. The 69-year old songwriter’s main issue is not the much disputed royalty issue, but rather the quality of the streaming itself. In a post on his Facebook page, the Canadian rocker told fans that his dispute had nothing to do with money but that, “I don’t need my music to be devalued by the worst quality in the history of broadcasting or any other form of distribution“. Go Neil. He added, “I don’t feel right allowing this to be sold to my fans. It’s bad for my music“. He has however, left the door open for a return to streaming so long as the quality improves.
