Willow Smith, the daughter of famous actor Will Smith is ready to show us her new album The 1st which has been released just in time for her birthday, this Tuesday on October, 31 via Interscope Records. This project follows the release of her latest EP Mellifluous (2016) and her 2015 album Ardipithecus.
Alongside this new album composed of 11 tracks, the artist has also recently unveiled two amazing singles entitled “Boy” and the acoustic guitar song “Romance“. The 17-year old American rapper/singer, with these tracks and this new album, wants to show us how she is growing as a musician.
Indeed speaking about the album, Willow said, “This album is the first step into me diving 100 percent into my musicality. For my last album, I spent a lot of time on the computer producing, so this time I was learning the guitar as I created the album and focused more on composing and instrumentation. I was seeking the answer to the question Who am I as an artist, really? I’m so excited for people to hear what’s in my heart“.
This wise singer is also the special guest who the soulful songstress Jhene Aiko will bring on tour in North America starting from next month.
