With all the furore about the recipes, this seems to have slipped under the radar. With the BBC having undergone massive changes, even BBC News is undergoing a change as well, the Corporation said to be considering a new 24-hour channel to replace BBC News and BBC World News.
Although no decision has been made on the proposals, the BBC executive board is understood to have urged the news team to work more on streamlining the news services to save some extra money. A decision is expected to be made in July on this issue.
