Bill Pullman Joins Woody Harrelson On Cast Of ‘LBJ’ | Film News
Bill Pullman has joined the cast of the upcoming Rob Reiner film LBJ. Pullman who recently reprised his most famous acting role as President Whitmore for Independence Day: Resurgence has been cast in a supporting role as Senator Ralph Yarborough in the political drama. Woody Harrelson will play the starring role as President Lyndon B, Johnson.
The film will centre on the political strife the then Vice President faced when he was suddenly plunged into presidency due to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Facing battles from either side of the political spectrum, Johnson tried to heal the nation and pass through the historic civil rights act. Pullman will portray the famously progressive Democrat Ralph Yarborough, who often clashed with Johnson despite both men hailing from Texas. Filming for LBJ is set to begin in September.
