Brad Pitt’s ‘Allied’ Is Underway | Film News
Filming on Brad Pitt‘s new war drama Allied has begun, it has been reported. This marks the third war film that Pitt has lead in recent years; in 2014 he lead the cast of David Ayer‘s Fury and 5 years before that, in 2009, he took on a lead role in Quentin Tarantino‘s alternative-history war film Inglorious Basterds.
Allied, directed by Robert Zemeckis, follows the romance of Pitt’s Max Vatan, an Intel Officer posted in North Africa in 1942, and Marion Cotillard‘s resistance fighter who is on a dangerous mission behind German lines. They later meet again in London and rekindle their affections.
Filming will take the cast from London to the Canary Islands as Pitt and Cotillard treat us to another good, old fashioned war film. Joining Pitt and Cotillard are Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode. Allied has a release date of November 23.
