Director Scott Cooper Goes From ‘Black Mass’ To ‘White Knight’ | Film News
Director Scott Cooper is attracting some positive buzz and whispers of potential Oscar consideration with Black Mass. Whilst I personally found the performances in Black Mass to be compelling, the film itself was overlong and too broody but Cooper is a man in demand.
The director of Crazy Heart and Out of the Furnance is now set to direct White Knight which follows a former Secret Service agent who takes a job protecting the family of an arms dealer and subsequently finds himself at the centre of a global manhunt. Cooper has been involved in re-writing the screenplay of White Knight for some time but now also seems keen to direct. Black Mass starring Johnny Depp can be seen in cinemas now.
