Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” has broken UK chart records by remaining in the Top 40 for 52 consecutive weeks. Sitting comfortably at number 28 on this week’s Official Singles Chart, Sheeran can add this to his ever growing list of record setting achievements. “Thinking Out Loud” also holds the record for the longest climb to number one after spending 19 weeks in the chart before making it to the top. His second album x is also celebrating its 52nd week in the top 40, and with 2.23 million copies flying off the shelves it is the fifth most successful record of the decade in the UK.
