Helen Mirren Criticises Israel Boycotters On Visit To Country | Film News
Art is one of our most important mediums, and Oscar-winning actor Helen Mirren has showered the artists of Israel in particular with praise during a visit to the country. She also ciriticised pro-Palestinian groups who boycott art, and the decision of some artists to shun Israel.
Mirren commented: “I think that art is an incredibly important way of communication, the artists of the country are the people you need to communicate with and make a relationship with and learn from and build upon. So I absolutely don’t believe in the boycott, and here I am”.
