Korean-American actress, Jamie Chung, best known for her roles in Sucker Punch and The Hangover franchise, is the second series regular to sign onto Fox’s upcoming Marvel X-Men pilot, after Switched At Birth’s Blair Redford.
Chung, who played Valerie Vale in the Gotham series last year, will be jumping from DC to the Marvel ship to play the sarcastic and tomboyish Clarice Fong – better known by Marvel fans as ‘Blink’. Her role in the show will follow her struggle to adjust to the sudden and dramatic changes in her life after she discovers her mutant powers.
The currently untitled action-adventure series will be written by Matt Nix, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and Bryan Singer, who will also be helming the pilot as director.
The film is currently in pre-production stages, but if the pilot is given approval to continue as a series, the show would be the highest notch on Chung’s post of broadcast projects, which include recurring roles in Fox’s Gotham and ABC’s Once Upon A Time.
