Olga Kurylenko To Star In Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Android’ | Film News
After the runaway success of Ex Machina, it seems like the sci-fi lovers are going to get another AI/Android film as Square one entertainment has acquired all German and Austrian rights to the thriller Android.
Imagine a lonely spaceship orbiting Neptune. The astronaut brings back his dead wife (Olga Kurylenko) and son, not as humans but as Androids. But his life soon becomes in danger when these Androids demands a life of their own. Sounds like another AI-gone-wrong film? Well it is not, according to the script writers.
The project is set to be directed by Niall Johnson (The Big Swap, Keeping Mum). As for the script, Johnson co-wrote it with Matt O’Reilly, the film will begin shooting in February.
