British actor Simon Pegg has released the trailer for his new comedic film Hector And The Search For Happiness to be released this autumn. He plays a psychiatrist called Hector who listens to people’s problems and their pursuit of happiness every single day. When he realizes he has stopped enjoying life, he jets off travelling the world in pursuit of his own happiness, leaving girlfriend Clara (Rosamund Pike) behind in their London home.
Pegg is best known for his writing credits and acting skills in films such as Run Fat Boy Run with Thandie Newton, Hot Fuzz and How To Lose Friends and Alienate People alongside Kirsten Dunst. Hector And The Search For Happiness is based on the novel Le Voyage D’Hector Ou La Recherché Du Bonheur by French author Francois Lelord.
Toni Collette from Desperate Housewives will be playing Pegg’s former love interest who he reunites with while in America, Peter Chelsom directs this fictional tale about a man seeking something which many of us do. The film is expected to be released in UK cinemas in the autumn of 2014.
