2024 Golden Globes: Top Looks That Stole The Show

Lights, camera, fashion! At the 81st Golden Globe Awards, the red carpet wasn’t just for awards – it was a showcase of breathtaking looks. From elegant to engaged, these dresses were another occasion for Hollywood’s biggest stars and their stylish designers to redefine style. Let’s take a closer look at the standout styles that made the 2024 Golden Globes a glamorous affair.

Starting with the men’s section, where the watchword of this ceremony was – unbearable suspense! – suits. The ceremony begins with a classic yet elegant black Saint Laurent suit worn by the Oppenheimer star, Cillian Murphy with a simple white shirt and no tie. The French-American actor, Timothée Chalamet slipped into a basic black costume topped off with a rhinestone blazer signed by Céline.

However, some of the artists stepped out of the shadows to offer the red carpet more creative looks. From Lenny Kravitz in an Alexander McQUEEN side cut-out jumpsuit to the sexy translucent shirt of Jeremy Allen White in Calvin Klein, the black color didn’t stand in the way of spicy looks. Yet no one equals the boldness of Barry Keoghan’s red look accessorised with subtle necklaces and brooches. The Irish actor indeed took out the red carpet with his trouser-chained Louis Vuitton suit.

Now make a place for… the ladies! Once again, we were treated to a parade of superb outfits topped with shiny bold colors. First and foremost, Margot Robbie experiences her inner Barbie with an Armani Privé superstar look, emblematic for its bright pink sequins embellished with its tulle boa -enough to leave a lasting impression.

But the actress wasn’t the only one dealing with glitters, since Taylor Swift walked as her reputation era with a stunning backless green sequined long dress signed Gucci -that even the anti-swifties will agree with.

The Golden Globes winner, Emma Stone, on her side honored her character’s name ‘Bella’ with a breathtaking nude floral dress. With an elegant long neckline and a leg slit highlighted by a simple hairstyle and a glowy makeup look, the Louis Vuitton dress speaks for itself.

And the sequins kept on coming with Julia Garner in Gucci or Meryl Streep in a classic black and white look with a little extra shine on the skirt and the blazer, which would even make Miranda agree!

Who said black was boring? At least that wasn’t the case with Rosamund Pike’s Dior Couture lace dress or Dua Lipa’s in Schiaparelli that impressed us with a bustier dress, lacing back, and golden details that made the famous singer stand out.

Another example was Andra Day who stunned in a dramatic vintage ensemble by Georges Chakra Couture which featured a sheer, one-shouldered floral design, matching opera gloves, and a ruffled skirt. More discreet yet magnificent, Jennifer Anniston did not disappoint us in her Dolce Gabbana dress with scale details on the skirt.

Prada also made a bold – and almost theatrical! – presence at the Golden Globes. First with Hailee Steinfeld and her classy, elegant, pink dress without forgetting black gloves that added drama to the silhouette. Then followed by Hunter Schafer and a translucent wind-blowing gown giving us a scene worthy of a movie.

This Sunday night, some took the occasion to convey their message one more time to the world! Gillian Anderson caused a stir in L.A. with an elegant ivory, strapless, floor-grazing gown dress created by Gabriela Hearst. However, the closer you get, the more you’ll see the addition of tens of embroidered vulvas sewn onto the skirt of the Sex Education actress – enough to shake things up a bit!

And finally, because the red carpet does bear its name for a reason, let’s pay tribute to the women who wore it. Florence Pugh was wearing a red floaty semi-sheer custom Valentino dress.

The supermodel Heidi Klum was also one to be noticed with her strapless Sophie Couture number with a structured, sequined bustier bodice and a leg slit along an elegant wavy ballgown. “No one can really get to me today. I feel like a big, gigantic, blonde tomato,” Klum told WWD on the red carpet!
