Rap star 21 Savage has been chosen to executive produce the original soundtrack for the long-awaited film Spiral: From The Book of Saw, which is the next film in the Saw franchise.
The rapper’s involvement in the film was announced just after the release of the film’s trailer, which features snippets of the rapper’s upcoming single “Spiral”.
He confirmed the news directly on his Instagram account where he shared a part of the trailer of the movie, where you can hear his song in the background. He added, “‘Spiral’ In Theaters May 14 @saw Soundtrack By Me”.
According to Uproxx, the British rapper is set to release the single from the Spiral soundtrack very soon.
This isn’t the first time 21 Savage has teamed up with the film industry, as he previously featured film star Morgan Freeman on his Savage Mode 2 album.
Finally, this news seemed almost obvious, the rapper has always tended to be close to the horror film genre, he is known to integrate horror film themes in his music or album covers.
After several postponements due to the coronavirus pandemic, Spiral: From The Book Of Saw will be released in cinemas on May 17. It was produced by Chris Rock, who will also star in the film as Detective Ezekiel, with Samuel L. Jackson as his father.
