A bootleg of a Nirvana gig which took place 25 years ago in Portland on January 12, 1990 has been shared online for the first time. The recording features versions of “Polly” and “Breed” with raw recording, in accordance with the equipment and tape used at the time. The gig also shows Dale Crover of Melvins playing drums, with Dave Grohl not joining the band until later that year. The gig is also reportedly the show in which Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love first met. In related news, it has also been revealed that HBO’s upcoming documentary of Kurt Cobain will feature original and unheard of music from the Nirvana frontman, the documentary Montage Of Heck will be broadcast for the first time in April, arriving in UK cinemas around the same time. Unfortunately, the 55-minute gig has now been pulled from Youtube, the gig setlist is below.
