Alessandra Facchinetti, creative director and designer of Italian fashion label, Tod’s, has announced that she will be stepping down from her position. Alessandra has been in the role for 3 years in which she has seen milestones within the company, such as it’s first ever runway show back in September 2013.
Facchinetti is a well known name amongst Italian fashion and the designer has racked up much success working for labels such as Gucci, Valentino, Miu Miu and Moncler. She was hired by Tod’s back in 2013 in hope that she would envisage a new direction for the brand.
In a statement, Alessandra said: “I will now focus on other projects that I have put aside in order to be able to achieve Tod’s strategies”.
Diego Della Valle, CEO of Tod’s also commented: “I have given much consideration to this decision; we came to this conclusion after a thoughtful conversation and I wish Alessandra all the best for her future endeavors”.
