Tragedy yesterday, tragedy today, it seems 2016 has seen many of our finest actors – both past and present – take the final journey to the green room in the sky. Actor-comedian Alan Young has died aged 96. His passing was announced by a spokeswoman for the Motion Picture and Television Home on Friday.
English born and educated in Canada, Young died amongst his children peacefully Jaime Larkin said. Young was well known for his radio and TV work, starring in his own Emmy-winning variety show whilst the show that made him, Mister Ed was being made ready at George Burns’ production company.
A sad day for those who knew him, he will be missed.
