It has now been confirmed that Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be released in US cinemas on March 25, 2016. Paramount will be releasing the fourth instalment of the buddy cop film and Eddie Murphy will be returning to the film to play the role of Axel Foley. Josh Applebum and Andre Nemec are writing the script for the film, with ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ almost becoming a TV show instead. The only plot details revealed is that Foley will return to his hometown of Detroit. Brett Ratner will direct the film while Jerry Bruckheimer will produce.
