A new teaser trailer for the much-anticipated sequel to Danny Boyle’s 1996 cult classic Trainspotting has been released. Featuring original characters Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sickboy (Johnny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and the eternally tremor-inducing Begbie (Robert Carlyle), the promotional visual for T2 reveals the foursome standing behind a speeding train, slowly revealed one-by-one.
In a nostalgic harkening back to the film’s predecessor, Iggy Pop’s “Lust For Life” is a welcome companion to the short clip and reminding audiences of the cultural and musical impact Trainspotting has had over the past twenty years.
T2 is set to be released in UK cinemas on Friday, January 27, 2017.
