Big Brother will be having a power trip theme for its upcoming series where one housemate can evict or treat contestants. The chosen housemate will also be able to decide who gets punished while in the house. Another housemate will then be given the opportunity to rule over the Big Brother contestants. The theme will commence upon the launch night of the show. Housemates will be encouraged to be ruthless in order to gain and keep the power. Viewers will also have the opportunity to influence the contestants, and a new futuristic, technology infused house will be used this year. Former housemate Luisa Zissman will join the show as a presenter. The Channel 5 show will be broadcast during the summer of 2014.
