Premiering Monday, November 14, a new documentary on PBS will provide an insight into some of the most important recordings ever made in modern musical history. Entitled Soundbreaking, it is the creation of George Martin, an influential English record producer who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Featuring more than 160 original interviews with pioneers of the music industry from producers to recording artists, Soundbreaking will offer an authentic view into some of the most important innovations in the industry, tracing back to the era of the Beatles right up to more modern advances.
It is in the second episode Painting With Sound that the show turns its focus onto Bon Iver, and in particular Justin Vernon. During the programme he explains some of the processes behind the creation of For Emma, Forever Ago and also elaborates on his studio set-up.
The full episode will include a plethora of influential names within the music industry, from the omnipresent Rick Rubin to other figures such as Radiohead producer, Nigel Godrich.
