Aquaman, which arrives next year after star Jason Momoa appears in Justice League late this year, has added Ludi Lin to the cast to play one of Aquaman’s loyal warriors.
It rounds off a cast that, oddly, already has plenty of superhero experience. Lin appeared in Power Rangers earlier this year, while co-stars Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman appeared in 2002’s Spiderman and 1995’s Batman Forever, respectively.
Plus Dolph Lundgren is a recurring star on Arrow as Konstantin Kovar. With DC desperate for critical success, it seems they’ve turned to superhero experience to steady the ship.
Lin will play Mark in the film, who in the comics is leads the Men-Of-War, Atlantis’ front line army. The film also stars Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Temuera Morrison and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in what’s shaping up to be a potentially impressive array of stars in arguably the riskiest superhero film for a while.
The film will be directed by James Wan, and written by Will Beall. It arrived on December 21, 2018.
