Who said actors were narcissists? In a strange move from the Charmed actress (what else has she done?), Alyssa Milano is due to not only head her own show, Alyssa Milano for Mayor, but will also play herself – because when you think Alyssa, you think big personality, Hollywood legend.
The project is a soft-scripted comedy that focuses on Milano unexpectedly becoming the mayor of a suburban town and dealing with the mundanity of low politics. It apparently echoes ABC’s new series The Mayor which follows the unconventional campaign of a young rapper. No doubt Donald Trump‘s unexpected win is a “huge” source of inspiration.
Milano’s taken it pretty easy on the acting front for a while, only recently getting in on big projects like Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later and the upcoming Insatiable. She’s clearly gotten too used to being herself as a guest judge on reality shows Project Runway: All Stars and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
