Australian ARIA award nominee artist The Kite String Tangle has recently released the single “This Thing We Got” and the official music video, where he performs the song live. The new track can also be found on his recent unveiled and self-titled debut album. He explains how he came up with the single, which has been more light hearted compared to his usual songs.
“I wrote this tune right at the very end of the album writing process, and it almost didn’t make the album. It’s got a really Californian feel to me, and it feels like a good cruising road trip song”. He further says how the single lyrically is inspired, “Lyrically, the song is motivated by that honeymoon period feeling and the butterflies you get when you start dating someone new. Who doesn’t love that feeling!?”
