Australian indie rock quintet The Rubens have aired a music video for their latest single “Million Man“. It is the first track from the upcoming album, which is set to come out in 2018.
The Rubens band consists of three Margin brothers – lead vocalist Sam, keyboard player Elliott and guitarist Zaac, and two friends – Scott Baldwin on drums and Will Zeglis on bass.
The video features all of the members having fun together. It’s a group of five hipsterish thirty-year-olds hanging out on the street of New York City and drinking beers on the rooftop. The band’s goal to “reflect the energy and fun of the song” was achieved – the video sets a laid-back and playful atmosphere.
“Million Man” was produced by Wilder Zoby and Little Shalimar, who are also the producers of Run The Jewels. The Rubens are so far happy with the collaborations, saying that “it was genuinely just a fun time building the song and being creative together.”
The forthcoming album is the third from the band and it follows the platinum-certified Hoops, released in 2015. In spring The Rubens will start their 26-date, 10-country tour. More information on the official website.
