Famous American fashion designer and creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear Virgil Abloh has once again collaborated with a sneaker brand – this time around being Converse for a brand new take on the classic Chuck 70 silhouette.
Converse’s most popular product is the Chuck Taylor, a model of casual shoes first developed and produced in the early 20th century. The design of the Chuck Taylor All-Star is made of various materials such as leather but the original and most widely known version of the shoe is made from cotton canvas. The innovative detail of the original shoe was the loose lining of soft canvas.
The Virgil Abloh’s take, initially emerging alongside the rest of ‘The Ten‘ last year, is made with a translucent construction and many intricate detailing including the famous Virgil quote marks, medial side branding and the signature classic red pull tag. Each pair is set to retail for $130 USD and it is a limited release dropping this weekend so click here for a full list of stockists.
