Kesha has released the new music video for her new single “Hymn”.
“Hymn” is a pop country song that talks about self-empowerment with a low-tempo, deep-synth beat. Produced by Jonny Price and Ricky Reed, this track features on her latest album Rainbow.
The music video sees Kesha singing in a convertible and features clips from a diverse range of people in different situations. Finally, she reunites with all the people in a lonely road and in a modern-day shot of escapism similar to the iconic bicycle-in-the-sky scene in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, the car once driving the singer floats in the night sky as they bow to it
Speaking on the song, she said: “When I sing the words to this song, I do so as a reminder to myself as much as anyone that we can’t let the haters and the negativity win. We know the unexplainable universal goodness in people — their innate love and light and compassion for one another — will bring us together to do great things“.
