Mr Eazi returns to level out and one-up the playing field with a meaty collection of ‘Bankufied magic’ on his brand new mixtape Life is Eazi Vol. 2 – Lagos to London. With that comes the release of the comical video to new single “Chicken Curry” featuring South London’s finest Sneakbo and Instagram sensation Just Sul.
Mr Eazi turns from Afro crooner to pesky thief in this Mornix-directed visual as he breaks into the lavish home of Just Sul to see what he can get his hands on. But his escapade is cut short as he gets caught and the video escalates into a comical cat and mouse chase.
Its a real blend of Indian and African cultures throughout the video and the track itself, which is infectiously catchy and braggadocious with such a hook so it’s only fitting to have rapper Sneakbo grace the track with a spicy verse.
Ahead of this release, Eazi teamed up with YouTube Music to recreate the Lagos To London artwork – a yellow double-decker bus. This symbolised two of the most recognisable forms of transport from both cities (London bus & Nigerian Danfo taxi).
Recorded between both cities, in-between sell-out shows and exciting collaborations with some of the UK’s finest this is a crackling marker of a progressive, stellar career.
