Santa Clarita Diet is a show about cannibalism that takes place in the sunny California suburbs.
Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant star as Sheila and Joel Hammond, a couple whose world is turned upside down when Sheila came down with a mysterious affliction that left her a flesh-eating zombie, but with the help of her loving husband and her teenage daughter, Abby (Liv Hewson), things have gotten more or less under control.
Today, Netflix released the new trailer of season 3 and creator Victor Fresco has said he wants to delve more into the mysterious couple Paul and Marsha, who appeared in season two as well as the Knights of Serbia, a group who have been tasked with finding zombies and stopping the outbreak.
In Season 3, it looks as though things are getting existential: Zombie Sheila is going to live forever, and the only way she’ll be able to do that with her husband by her side is if she bites him. True love never dies?
Season 2 received generally favorable responses and Netflix does not get in the habit of canceling shows unless they are disastrously unpopular. Consequently, Santa Clarita Diet Season 3 is returning for another round of 10 episodes.
