The new single “Comfort Zone” from T Star sees the rap artist collaborating with Big K.R.I.T. and encourage you step out of your comfort zone to “do what you love” in order to reach for new heights.
“Comfort Zone” is the first single from T Star’s album titled Still Growing which was released on February 2. The track has a smooth soulful sample and catchy drums that match T Star’s smooth flow and artful lyrics.
Born in the Bronx and raised in Petersburg where he spent most of his childhood, T Star is an independent hip hop artist who first became interested in rapping after watching the rise of rappers such as J. Cole, Wale, Big Sean, & Kendrick Lamar in 2010. The fact that their music was speaking of truths with pure authenticity inspired him to recount his own stories through rap music.
He took a break from music when he received a scholarship to play college basketball in New York. After his graduation, he returned to music earnestly with the release of his first single “See You Grow”. Since then, nothing strayed him from this path and he recently released his third project titled Still Growing.
His style draws inspiration from musical influences such as 2 Pac, Kanye West, J. Cole, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley and mixes lyrical storytelling and punchlines, all while dropping gems over chill, soulful production.
