“Out of the Woods” is Taylor Swift’s catchy new single from her upcoming album 1989, which is to be released on October 27 via Big Machine Records. Following her sensational single and music video “Shake It Off”, Taylor clarifies that “Out Of The Woods” is not a single, just simply a track she thinks best embodies 1989. Rumored to be inspired by One Direction’s Harry Styles, this electronic, pop centered song is full of addicting echoes, a mesmerizing chorus, and upbeat rhythms. Although Taylor is obviously moving completely into a new genre with 1989, her songs thus far have retained the same Taylor Swift signature of being brutally honest, emotionally relatable stories. If the rest of the songs are as good as this release, this album cannot get here soon enough.
