On April 15, UK producer, artist and multi-instrumentalist J P Rose released a new single “Link Hands (Times To Fight)”. This track is from his mixtape Lo-Soul.
This first mixtape of the artist is entirely self-produced, and proves J P’s skills as a writer, producer and singer. It offers an immersive nine track, 30 minute exploration of JP’s vast range and eclectic musicality, all beautifully tied together by his conscious rhymes, soulful vocals and lo-fi production.

For this project, J P dons the A&R suit, recruiting artists from different parts of the world to help bring his creations to life, championing a new wave of British artists whose music is as rooted in hip hop and soul as it is in new styles.
To name a few, it features underground pioneer Feux, London rapper, illustrator and designer Kieron Boothe, French-born, London-raised rapper AVC of Kumo Collective, Brighton-based Dutch soul singer Kymara of QM Records, and Rag’n’Bone Man’s backing vocalist, R&B singer Sylvia Mwenze.
Thus, with Lo-Soul, J P Rose proves his ability to tell stories and blur the boundaries between R&B, Lo-fi Hip-Hop and Soul with conscious rhymes, soulful flow and compelling production skills.
