A rising star is conquering the international music landscape by way of Melano Blac.
Born in Nigeria 22 years ago, this young artist and model grew up in Abuja, developing his music passion in high school. His following academic years were spent in Ukraine, until the beginning of the Russian conflict in February 2022.
The success Melano has been able to build not just in the UK and Ukraine, but internationally is the result of several SoundCloud releases, among which we can find his official debut single “Jollof”. The song, featuring AdeJosh, went viral on TikTok in February 2022 and reached more than 700k streams on Spotify.
Melano Blac has now returned with a new single “Original”, produced by ATG and released via Show Out Ents. The new single brings sexy to Afrobeats with the singer’s signature smooth vocal delivery, all whilst developing a unique style mixing in elements of Afrobeats, R&B, and Dancehall.
Melano Blac’s new release reflects perfectly the singer’s influences from Burna boy, Nasty C, and Rema. But it also shows Melano’s knowledge of the international music scene, taking inspiration from the UK and the American landscape.
The growing talent of Melano Blac has been under the spotlight for quite a long time, thanks to the strong support his releases have received from multiple radios and music shows, like Capital Xtra’s DJ Teeshow, DJ Semtex, and BBC 1xtra’s Remi Burgz.
Melano’s works have been attracting interesting names and the list of fans is growing drastically, including the global French artist TayC and Everton striker Alex Iwobi.
