Canadian blues musician Jesse Roper hails from Victoria, British Columbia, and has garnered over 11 million Spotify plays with his unique blend of modern indie and blues music, combined with electrifying live performances and virtuoso guitar playing.
Roper has recently released his latest track, “Make It All Work Out”, a lighthearted and rock-infused song that still retains its softness. The track is the first of several upbeat, soulful, and R&B-inspired songs produced by renowned JUNO-nominated producer Gus van Go for Roper’s upcoming record.
While maintaining his distinctive style and expression in the blues genre, Roper pays tribute to musical greats such as JJ Cale, Leon Bridges, and Alabama Shakes on his new record.
“Make It All Work Out” explores Roper’s realization that the structure of his life can make it challenging for others to connect with him in a way that fulfills their aspirations and goals. This new body of work displays a depth and sensitivity that wasn’t as prominent in Roper’s earlier creations, with vintage rhythm and blues serving as a lush backdrop to his soulful vocals.
Roper’s storytelling and emotive vocals bring to mind dusty roads and packed dance floors, much like his contemporaries Nathaniel Rateliff and Jack White.
Listen to Jesse Roper’s latest release “Make It All Work Out” and experience his unique and captivating sound.
