Punk duo Slaves, made up of drummer and vocalist Isaac Holman and guitarist and vocalist Laurie Vincent, smashed their way into the alternative scene in 2013, when playing on the BBC introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festival. Releasing their first album Sugar Coated Bitter in November 2013 and later producing an EP in January 2014, then a second album The Hunter in November 2014. This found themselves on the list of the BBC Sound of 2015.
Their short journey has proved to be a successful one, as they have brought the old school punk vibe back to life, and their fan base is proving to grow. With their rising success, it is inevitable that you will see the boys in festivals across the UK this year. This is supported by the recent announcement of the 2015 Warp tour, one of the biggest alternative events of the year announcing Slaves to be included in the line up. Their recently released single “The Hunter”, is a great example of what the duo are all about. You can stream the new video below.
