Leonard Nimoy, who played Sci-Fi cult figure Mr. Spock, in the original Star Trek series, has sadly died aged 83. He was taken to hospital earlier in the week due to his suffering of chest pains. Prior to this, Nimoy, was battling against lung disease, which he said was caused by his smoking habit, although he managed to quit 30 years ago. You can read his good willed message below from his Twitter page, trying to encourage people to not smoke. Nimoy was also an aspiring poet, and here’s a lovely quote he left on Twitter only a few days ago, goodbye Mr. Spoke.
Don't smoke. I did. Wish I never had. LLAP

A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP
