Canadian artist Kiesza has been a musician for most of her life, but started gaining much more media attention when she released the music video for her track “Hideaway” in February 2014. By the time the single was released officially, it was being championed by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and later on in April, “Hideaway” gave Kiesza her first UK #1 single. Kiesza’s second single “Giant In My Heart” was also premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show and again entered the UK singles chart, debuting at #4.
In 2014, she was nominated for several awards but unfortunately didn’t manage to win any, but 2015 turned out to be a complete turn around, being nominated and winning awards for ‘Video Of The Year’, ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year’ and ‘Dance Recording Of The Year’ at this year’s Juno Awards. Kiesza recently previewed the video for her latest single “Sound Of A Woman”, the title track for her debut album.
