David Bowie is due to release a series of box sets that represent his entire career discography. The first of which is titled Five Years 1969 – 1973 and is due to be released via Parlophone on September 25. The box which contains either 12 CDs or 13 LPs are to include six remastered studio albums, two live albums and a compilation called Re:Call. Re:Call is due to feature non-album tracks and unreleased material from that time period.
The six remastered albums will include David Bowie AKA Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold The World, Alladin Sane, Pin Ups and The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust. The live albums are to include Ziggy Stardust: The Montion Picture Soundtrack and Santa Monica ’72 and a 2003 stereo remix of The Rise And Fall. The box set is also due to come with a book featuring incredibly rare photos and technical notes about each album. Furthermore it includes new artwork and archival photographs and a foreword by the Kink’s Ray Davies.
