According to news sources, US hit talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw, is set to make a daily news and entertainment program on the Daily Mail’s website after the tabloid signed a deal with Dr. Phil’s TV production company Stage 29, which is run by his son, Jay McGraw. A deal has also been struck with CBS, which will syndicate the show.
Dr Phil, who received his major breakthrough after Oprah Winfrey had him appear as a regular on her talk show, is one of the most watched TV personalities in the US. If these reports are confirmed, it is believed that Dr. Phil will appear with other reporters and presenters to front the internet show, which is expected to debut in Autumn 2016. Despite refusing to comment as of yet, the Daily Mail is expected to confirm these reports at the Cannes Lions festival on Thursday.
