Tyler, The creator, leader of the LA based Hip Hop collective Odd Future, invited former One Direction member Zayn Malik to collaborate with him on one of his “BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENTALS”. The proposal was made via Twitter over the weekend.
It is not easy to ascertain if Tyler’s suggestion has sincere motivations behind it, and as of yet Malik has made no response to the offer, which is currently stewing amid fervent speculation. The rapper/producer is no stranger to controversy and usually maintains a slightly twisted sense of humour. In fact, Tyler has had to cancel the Australian leg of his Cherry Bomb tour due to pressure from a feminist group over what they see as his misogynistic content. With this new spare time, it is possible that Tyler’s proposal constitutes a curious stop-gap in the pair’s respective schedules. Only time will tell.
