Tickets for Glastonbury 2016 have sold out until a resale next year so it’s time for everyone to try and guess who the headline acts will be. So far the rumours are: Coldplay, Muse, Foo Fighters, Adele, Blur, AC/DC and now Queen.
Guitarist Brain May has suggested in the past that Queen would of played at Glastonbury 2015 but work commitments got in the way. “Look, these things get put on the table; it would be interesting to do Glastonbury if we were an operational unit at the time. You see, this year Adam’s off doing his solo work at the moment so it wouldn’t have worked. You only look at things that are possible logistically at the time“.
American Idol finalist Adam Lambert is Queen’s front man and has been filling in for his idol, the late Freddie Mercury, after he was spotted by May during his time on the TV show. Adam spoke to Bang Showbiz about the Glastonbury rumours. He said, ” Why do we even care about the rumours baby? I don’t know! That’s the first time hearing of it so I don’t know. If they invited me, yes, of course I would“.
