Over recent months, following the release of Taylor Swift’s album, 1989, there’s been a lot of controversy regarding her move to pull her music from Spotify, as well as various trademarking issues. But alas, despite consistent mockery from the public for many of these decisions, she’s at it again… Taylor Swift is putting in a bid to trademark “Blank Space” lyric, “and I’ll write your name” which, if successful, would stop it being used on clothing, paper products (notebooks etc), and in any literary publications. Has the “Shake It Off”singer taken this a step too far?
