Marvel is clearly ramping up the anticipation for upcoming Captain America: Civil war by releasing new concept art; which depicts our favourite heroes Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) and Captain America (Chris Evans) engaging in battle as the Avengers are divided in two. Other heroes featured in the image include Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Panther (Cadwhick Boseman) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
Set for release on 29 April 2016, the movie’s synopsis reads:“Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers (Captain America) leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team”.
“The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s (Iron Man) surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability”.
