With just over a month left before Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits cinemas, Ben Affleck has shed a little light on his version of the Dark Knight; hinting at what we’ll be seeing in the movie and where the character starts off in the battle to end all battles.
Speaking in an interview, Affleck revealed that Batman will develop a personal vendetta against the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) as he threatens Batman’s beliefs: “He’s a little over the hill–broken. He’s kind of given up. And when Superman shows up he’s like so powerful that he threatens everything that Batman kind of believes in, and it leads to this conflict”.
Directed by Zac Snyder, the upcoming blockbuster will feature the iconic DC creations battling over what kind of superhero the world really needs; enabling Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) to sweep in create a new threat in the shape of villainous Doomsday. Setting aside their differences, the duo embark on a mission alongside Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to stop Doomsday and Lex Luthor from destroying Metropolis.
