Back in July 2014 rapper Ja Rule announced that he was working on a new album titled Genius Loves Company. There had not been any further news regarding this, just old and unreleased material. Apparently now he still has plans to release the new album, but has changed the title to Coup De Grace.
The term is widely described as, “a death blow to end the suffering of a severely wounded person or animal. It may be a mercy killing of civilians or soldiers, friends or enemies, with or without the sufferer’s consent”. Some think this may be a pop at long-time rival, 50 Cent. Ja, has not really hit any commercial heights since his hits in the early Noughties, particularly from 2001’s Pain Is Love. It was also announced that Coup De Grace shall be his last and final studio effort.
