Following up her huge breakthrough debut single “Gold” from last year, Alicai Harley starts 2018 in similar style with a fresh new banger, “Killa”.
Produced by The Fanatix, responsible for a lot of heat coming from the likes of Giggs, Popcaan and Ms Banks, the track has gone down very well with immediate rotation with BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Capital Xtra. With sweet melodies and Alicai’s songwriting ability on show, “Killa” is set to further underline the young Jamaican-born Londoner as a certified one to watch for 2018.
Harley’s Dancehall vibes plus Fanatix knack for bounce and rhythm simply equals another runaway heater. While Alicai is steadily building a fanbase overseas, She still stays grounded being one of select few to perform at BBC Introducing at Roundhouse Rising earlier this year.
Speaking on the track “Killa”, Alicai shares that it is “one of the only tracks that I’ve ever written on the spot in the studio. I’m a very bold, light-hearted, fun and cheeky individual so I needed the listeners to feel that. I wanted to keep it classy but still give them my sauce!”
