For a few days now, we have known the artists who will be performing at the Super Bowl LV match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on February 7.
Before the match begins, we will also have the chance to see and hear the beautiful H.E.R interpreting “America The Beautiful” as well as Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church who will have the honor of singing the American national anthem. The deaf rapper Warren ‘WAWA’ Snipe will also be present in order to double both performances in sign language.
As for the half-time show, it will be performed by The Weeknd. With the current health crisis, the singer wanted to recreate something very cinematic for his performance, thinking about the visual comfort of the people who will be watching the show from their living room.
“We’ve been really focusing on dialing in on the fans at home and making performances a cinematic experience, and we want to do that with the Super Bowl” said the singer, who himself paid $7million out of his own pocket to ensure that the show lived up to his expectations as much as possible.
Regarding the After Party, this year it will be hosted by the actress Tiffany Haddish and produced by the company Verizon.
The Verizon Big Concert For Small Business aims to provide 1 million small businesses in difficulty, particularly due to the Covid-19 crisis, with the resources they need to succeed by 2030.
During the show and until 2022, it will be possible to donate $10 by SMS to their cause, and the company will also donate $10 million to the association Local Initiatives Support Corp (LISC) which has financially supported small businesses in difficulty since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis.
During this after party show, Grammy winner Alicia Keys will be performing. Speaking about the event, she said, “Small businesses are so important and we need to do whatever we can to keep them alive; our communities can’t recover without them”.
It will also be possible to catch performances from Christina Aguilera, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Luke Bryan, and Miley Cyrus.
The Verizon Big Concert For Small Business will be available directly after the Super Bowl LV on Sunday 7 February at 11:00 p.m. ET on Yahoo, Fios as well as on Verizon’s Twitter, Twitch, Youtube and TikTok accounts.
