Alternative Soul Singer Nuela Charles Shares New Single ‘Worthy’

Alternative soul singer songwriter Nuela Charles has unfolded her new single titled “Worthy”.

Establishing herself as a soulful vocal singer while seducing the audience by her stage presence, the Canadian singer has proved to be a multicultural artist. Born in Kenya, and raised in Switzerland and live in Canada and the Bahamas, Charles’ music is a range of fresh and distinct sounds.

During the last years, Nuela has put fire on multiple stages such as the Reeperbahn Festival, her first live show in the UK, and she has taken the opportunity to share the scene with notable artist such as Sam Roberts Band, Jann Arden and Stars.

Produced by Matt Parad, her freshly realised single “Worthy” is inspired by self-worth and acceptance writing works that she experienced during a complicate time in her life taking directly from her upcoming album.

Speaking about her new song, she commented, “I wrote ‘Worthy’ both as a journal entry and a pep talk to myself. I was going through all of these emotions, and just needed to get them out and process. Within a span of 45 minutes I had the song recorded down, just the piano and vocals. It was such a cathartic experience that I then shut my laptop and went on to do other things.

The next day, I sent it to my producer Matt Parad. I think this is probably one of my most personal songs to date, but with such a universal message. It’s hard to be vulnerable sometimes, and show what others may perceive to be as “weakness” but it’s so needed, and I’m glad it turned out this way.
