Although originally for Amazon Prime members only, all ten episodes of the comedy drama Transparent will be free to watch for the public on Saturday (January 24) this weekend only. This decision was made by Amazon because of the show’s recent glory at the Golden Globes awards earlier this month. Their success at the Golden Globes consisted of picking up the prizes for Best Musical or Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Series. After grabbing these awards, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, said: “We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved in the making of ‘Transparent,’, the team took a risk and it paid off. Big kudos and congrats to Jill, Jeffrey and all the cast and crew“.
