After the title for season 7 of American Horror Story was revealed last week, we are already being treated to the first official poster and teaser to Cult.
The poster is rather beautiful, but equally disturbing. A pale, subtly clown-faced woman looks down, revealing the top half of her head removed. Her brain has been replaced by a hive of sorts, honey dripping, bees crawling. It’s very Hannibal Lecter feeding Krendler his last meal. As said, it’s a wonderful design and will do well with fans, who enjoy collecting the posters at retail.

AHSFX then shared a new teaser promo, that does more to freak out than reveal details of the upcoming election-themed story. Bees and clowns, as hinted on Ryan Murphy‘s Instagram account, again take on a central theme in the short clip. A clown appears from below a surface of muck, opening their mouth to the sound of buzzing. It’s not pleasant.

There’s certainly a lot of buzz surrounding the new season.
American Horror Story: Cult will premiere September 5.
