With her stints in Pitch Perfect, it’s up and coming sequel and and her latest role in Disney’sInto The Woods, Ana Kendrick confirms her role as movie songstress in latest trailer for The Last Five Years. Directed by Richard LaGravenese and adapted from the musical play by Jason Robert Brown, The Last Five Years tells the story of singer Cathy (Kendrick) and writer Jamie, played by Jeremy Jordan, and their five year relationship. Telling the story through song and dance, from both individuals perspectives and in starting at the end of their relationship, The Last Five Years is set to be a tear jerker!
LaGravenese is quite used to making his audience tear up with previously work such as P.S I Love You, so we’ve got faith he’ll get the tone right. Time after time, Ana Kendrick has proved her worth in the movie world and her impressive set of pipes will no doubt deliver. Her on-screen love, Jeremy Jordan, is fairly new to the big screen with parts in TV series such as Smash under his belt but we’ve got a sneaky suspicion he’ll go down well with a female audience.
